DICTIONARY OF IN-BETWEEN
language/space installation

Explores how language shapes identity and reality in the context of migration. Using translation as method, it creates a dynamic narrative space reflecting Berlin’s diverse linguistic landscape.

Through tarot readings with migrant women, unconscious symbols are translated into key words answering six central questions about language and belonging. These words become part of a growing audio archive, mapped into subject–verb–predicate structures. This archive forms the foundation of an immersive installation made of rotating hexagons and reflective metal letters. Inspired by the elements (earth, water, air, fire), the space evokes the fluidity, materiality, and transformative power of language—inviting visitors to experience it as a living, shifting force.
